While the same cannot be said for other Caribbean islands, optimal weather created excellent building conditions this week on the island.
Much of the South Sound Residence exterior is slowly resembling the majestic beauty that architects and engineers originally planned. The roof of the home and garage is slowly being thatched together and the ground floor columns have been firmly set. The pool contractor is now on site and this luxurious home is beginning to come to life.
Construction progress updates are as follows:
- Rebar reinforcement work in progress for the garage/guest house roof slab
- Additional shoring/decking beams delivered to site.
- Also concrete was poured to the main house ground floor
- Cleanup work to the site after the concrete pour.
- Plumbing contractor on site
- Engineer noted he would prepare and submit a sketch confirming the rebar reinforcement requirement
- Scaffolding and temporary work ladders placed for access to the guest house/garage roof
- Inspection to the main house ground floor CMU walls, the shallow wading pool, guest house, 2nd floor columns, CMU walls, cantilever slab, and belting.
